Abstract

Ketidaktahuan dan kesalahpahaman tentang islam membuat banyak orang berpendapat bahwa Islam adalah hanya sebatas agama. Transendental yang khusus mengatar hubungan antara manusia dan Tuhan. Menurut sisi bahasa, kata "islam berasal dari kata aslama, yuslimu, islaman yang artinya tunduk dan patuh kepada kepala negara. Secara bahasa, dapat dikatakan aslama li-rais ad-daulat, sedangkan jika kita lihat Islam yang berasal dan bahasa arab, yaitu salima yang berarti selamat, damai, tunduk, pasrah, dan berserah diri
