Abstract

Manajemen adalah faktor terpenting dalam sebuah organisasi. Jika dianalogikan manajemen merupakan nyawa dari sebuah stuktur kelembagaan. Peranan inilah yang menjadikan manajemen tidak saja penting tetapi juga sangat vital. Peformance organisasi ditentukan oleh rancang bangun manajemen. Goal dari menajemen adalah kesempurnaan pencapaian visi organisasi. Seringkali manajemen berkaitan dengan cara mengatur, “how to manage” untuk mencapai tujuan organisasi. Esensi mengatur disini tidak hanya menata saja, tetapi ada aspek-aspek pendukungnya. Joseph L, menyatakan bawa manajemen adalah : " Gets things done trough other people" Penjelasan dari defenisi diatas adalah : Manejemen adalah suatu proses dimana suatu kelompok secara kerjasama mengarahkan tindakan atau kerjanya untuk mencapai tujuan bersama. Proses tersebut mencakup teknik-teknik yang digunakan untuk para manajer untuk mengkordinasikan kegiatan atau aktivitas orang-orang lain menuju tercapainya tujuan bersama.
