Abstract

Bank syariah adalah bank yang melaksanakan kegiatan perbankannya dengan prinsip syariah (hukum Islam), bank ini menghimpun dana dengan tidak memberikan imbalan bunga dan dalam pinjaman tidak dipungut bunga. Sistem yang mendasarinya yaitu larangan agama Islam untuk tidak memungut maupun meminjamkan dengan bunga atau yang sering disebut riba. Prinsip yang dianut oleh bank syariah dalam melaksanakan tujuannya antara lain prinsip murabahah, prinsip mudharabah, prinsip musyarakah, prinsip wadiah dan prinsip ijarah. Ekonomi Islam adalah ilmu yang mempelajari segala bentuk perilaku manusia dalam memenuhi kebutuhan hidupnya dengan tujuan memperoleh falah (kedamaian dan kesejahteraan dunia akhirat). Perilaku manusia disini berkaitan dengan landasanlandasan syariah sebagaimana cara berperilaku dan kecenderungan dari fitrah manusia. Kedua hal tersebut berinteraksi dengan porsinya masing-masing sehingga terbentuk sebuah mekanisme ekonomi yang khas dengan dasar-dasar nilai Ilahiah.
