Wie man Theorien anwendet – Hinweise zur Anwendung von Theorien am Beispiel von Organisationstheorien

Abstract

Das Arbeitspapier soll an Beispielen verdeutlichen, wie man Theorien zur Beantwortung von Erklärungs- und Gestaltungsfragen im Bereich von Organisationsproblemen verwenden kann. Wir werden mit einem sehr einfachen Beispiel beginnen und mit dessen Hilfe auch einige Grundbegriffe der Wissenschaftstheorie erläutern. Dann wenden wir uns einem etwas komplexeren Beispiel zu. Hier greifen wir auf eine Organisationstheorie zurück, um zu zeigen, wie man erklären kann, warum manche Unternehmen eine Matrixorganisation haben und andere nicht. Anschließend gehen wir auf die Anwendung von Theorien für die praktische Gestaltung ein. Wir meinen, dass man aus Theorien etwas für die Gestaltung der Praxis lernen kann. Theorien bieten Hinweise darauf, mit welchen Mitteln sich bestimmte Ziele erreichen lassen. Auch dies illustrieren wir an einem Beispiel.
