Abstract

Perang Banjar disebut De Bandjermasinche Krijg merupakan satu diantara episode penting dalam sejarah pergerakan masyarakat Banjar melawan kolonialisme Belanda. Menurut Gusti Mayur (1979) dalam Zulfa (2017), bagi pemerintah Belanda perang Banjar dianggap perang yang sangat berat karena wilayah yang luas, medan tempur yang sulit, biaya perang cukup banyak sehingga banyak menyebabkan pasukan Belanda tewas dalam peperangan. Banyaknya perwira dan prajurit tantara Belanda yang tewas lebih dari 3.000 orang. Perang Banjar yang mampu membuat pasukan Belanda menjadi terancam hingga kemunduran tidak terlepas dari peran pedagang dan pahlawan perang Banjar. Oleh karena itu, saya sebagai penulis sangat kagum dengan gigihnya pahlawan dalam perang Banjar sehingga dapat menuliskan peran-peran pedagang dan pahlawan perang Banjar.
