Abstract

karakter yang sangat memprihatinkan pada masa sekarang ini. Karakter yang buruk yang terus berkembang khususnya di lingkup kekristenan masyarakat Toraja. Ini diakibatkan karena kurangnya suatu hal yang bisa mejadi contoh yang baik, yang bisa menjadi sumber pendidikan karakter bagi kaum muda sekranng ini. Sehingga muncul berbagai masalah yang meresahkan dalam masyarakat, banyak kejahatan yang muncul. Berangkat dari permasalahan tersebut tulisan ini mau melihat bagaimana budaya yang dipakai masyrakat Toraja yaitu mentiro dan ma’peolai sebagai konsep pendidikan karakter, untuk melihat bahwa hal itu bisa membuat anak membentuk dan memperbaiki karakter yang buruk.
