Abstract

Ambidexterity organisasi telah muncul sebagai paradigma penelitian baru dalam teori organisasi, namun beberapa isu mendasar dalam debat ini tetap kontroversial.Ambidexterity adalah kemampuan sekaligus untuk mengeksploitasi kemampuan yang ada dan untuk mengeksplorasi peluang baru.Mencapai eksploitasi dan eksplorasi memungkinkan kesuksesan bagi organisasi, bahkan kebertahanan hidup organisasi dalam meningkatkan dan mempertahankan kinerja unggul berkelanjutan, namun menimbulkan ketegangan yang menantang. Organisasi ambidextrous unggul dalam memanfaatkan produk yang ada untuk memungkinkan inovasi tambahan dan untuk mengeksplorasi peluang baru untuk mendorong inovasi yang lebih radikal, namun penelitian terkait terbatas. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memajukan pemahaman kitatentang prasyarat organisasi ambidexterity, pendekatan-pendekatan untuk mencapainya, dan mengupas dampak setiap level baik individu dan organisasi bagi keberlangsungan pencapaian organisasi ambidexterity.
