Abstract

Setelah Rasulullah wafat ,diangkatlah Abu Bakar As-Siddiq menjadi khalifah pertama yang mempunyai nama lengkap yaitu Abdullah bin Abu Quhafah al-Tamini. Pada masa pemerintahan abu bakar ini tidak berlangsung lama ,hanya sekitar dua tahun dari tahun 632-634 Masehi. Dalam kepemimpinan Abu Bakar ini banyak sekali menghadapi masalah didalam negerinya ,diantaranya yaitu kelompok murtad,nabi-nabi palsu,dan orangorang yang tidak mau membayar zakat atau orang-orang pembangkang. Adapun perang yang sangat terkenal pada masa Abu Bakar adalah perang Ridda (perang melawan Kemurtadan) yang telah diputuskan berdasarkan musyawarah dengan para sahabat lainnya. Sikap keras dari Abu Bakar ini tidak lain adalah didasarkan karna keyakinan Abu Bakar akan kewajiban membayar zakat dari jaman Rasulullah
