Abstract

Kata "ekonomi" berasal dari bahasa Yunani yaitu oikos dan nomos. Oikos artinya "rumah tangga" sedangkan nomos artinya "peraturan, aturan," dan secara garis besar diartikan sebagai "aturan rumah tangga". Ilmu ekonomi adalah bagian ilmu sosial yang mempelajari bagaimana manusia menentukan pilihan dalam menggunakan sumber daya untuk menghasilkan benda yang mereka butuhkan dalam hidup mereka agar memperoleh guna atau manfaat yang sebesar-besarnya.
