Abstract

Perbankan Syariah atau Perbankan Islam adalah sistem perbankan yang implementasinya didasarkan pada hukum Islam (syariah). Pembentukan sistem ini didasarkan pada larangan dalam agama Islam untuk meminjamkan atau menagih pinjaman dengan menerapkan bunga pinjaman (riba), serta larangan untuk berinvestasi dalam kategori bisnis yang dilarang (haram). Pengembangan produk perbankan syariah memuat beberapa penerapan dalam mengembangkan bisnis dan strategi yang sesuai dengan prinsip dan juga nilai-nilai syariah. Dalam bank syariah menawarkan berbagai macam produk perbankan, yang tentunya bertujuan dalam melayani masyarakat khususnya masyarakat muslim. Pada produk perbankan syariah tidak mengenal konsep bunga uang, namun beralih pada kemitraan atau kerjasama dan dengan prinsip bagi hasil.
