Abstract

Menurut Sukirno (1994) teori nilai guna (utility) adalah total kepuasan yang diperoleh ketika seseorang menggunakan suatu barang. Pengertian utility dalam analisis perilaku konsumen berarti manfaat yang dirasakan dari konsumsi suatu barang atau kepuasan yang diperoleh dari barang atau jasa tersebut dan dengan demikian juga penghargaan konsumen terhadapnya. Jadi utility juga merupakan suatu yang subyektif, tergantung pada pribadi yang melekat pada diri konsumen yaitu sejauh mana kebutuhannya terpenuhi dengan konsumsi barang/jasa tertentu (Gilarso, 2003).
