Abstract

Koperasi sebagai suatu unit bisnis perlu mempertahankan eksisitensi dan mengembangkan usahanya. Namun dalam kenyataannnya masih ada koperasi yang belum mampu mengelola usahanya dengan baik sehingga tak jarang menyebabkan kegagalan dalam usahanya. Pengelolaan yang perlu diperhatikan adalah dalam hal pengelolaan manajemen keuangan. Dengan manajemen keuangan yang baik menerapkan prinsip-prinsip akuntansi, akuntabilitas, sistem perencanaan dan pengendalian. Manajemen keuangan dan akuntabilitas dapat membantu memberikan informasi keuangan yang memungkinkan pengambilan keputusan yang lebih akurat. Manajemen keuangan adalah bagian dari manajemen koperasi yang berkaitan dengan pengelolaan keuangan/ modal. Manajemen keuangan sangat terkait dengan kesejahteraan anggota, sesuai dengan tujuan normatif manajemen keuangan yaitu meningkatkan kemakmuran para pemilik yang berarti meningkatkan kesejahteraan anggotanya yang juga merupakan tujuan utama dari pendirian koperasi.
