Pandangan Paulus Mengenai Iman

Abstract

Iman adalah suatu kepercayaan yang dimiliki oleh orang beragama. Iman atau keyakinan atau kepercayaan adalah cara kita taat kepad Tuhan kita. Iman ini merupakan pondasi dasar dari semua kehidupan orang Kristen. Jika kita beriman itu artinya kita percaya. Namun ada sekian banyak orang yang mengatakan dirinya beriman namun tidak percaya. Paulus mengatakan bahwa iman adalah dasar dari segala sesuatu yang kita harapkan dan bukti dari segala sesuatu yang tidak kita lihat. Dalam surat paulus ini Paulus menyebut kata iman sebanyak 155 kali. Paulus mengajarkan bahwa iamn adalah respons kita kepada firman akan perjanjian Tuhan. Paulus memandang iman sebagai sumber dari pembenaran, yaitu pembenaran karena Kristus Yesus. Kata kunci: iman, pembenaran, Paulus.
