La estructura interna de la pobreza multidimensional

Abstract

El objetivo de este capítulo es observar la estructura interna de la pobreza multidimensional en Chile, entendiendo la pobreza como un fenómeno complejo que se manifiesta como una red de privaciones vinculadas entre sí, y que dicha red presenta propiedades que no serían observadas al analizar dichas privaciones por separado o sumadas entre sí. Para ello, se presenta en primer lugar una metodología que permite observar la estructura interna de la pobreza multidimensional. Luego se muestran los principales resultados obtenidos con esta forma de analizar la pobreza en el caso chileno. Finalmente, se exponen las conclusiones que se pueden extraer de este ejercicio, tanto sobre el concepto de pobreza multidimensional como sobre la manifestación de la pobreza en Chile.
