Abstract

Kesenjangan digital mencegah masyarakat memanfaatkan manfaat penuh yang dapat diberikan oleh teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Dalam konteks ini, tindakan untuk mendorong akses fisik ke internet tetap penting, tetapi tidak cukup untuk memastikan masyarakat informasi yang benar-benar inklusif. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan kepemimpinan yang kuat di tingkat global dan lokal, untuk memastikan upaya yang lebih terkoordinasi di antara pemerintah, otoritas lokal, dan aktor di lapangan. Sebaliknya, mempertahankan status quo, sementara teknologi secara progresif menyebar ke setiap sektor ekonomi, dapat secara kritis memperlebar kesenjangan antar negara dan di dalam wilayah nasional.
