Abstract

Dalam ekonomi islam, secara etimologi uang berasal dari kata al-naqdu-nuqud. Pengertiannya ada beberapa makna, yaitu al-naqdu berarti yang baik dari dirham, menggenggam dirham, membedakan dirham, dan al-aqd juga berarti tunai. Kata uang (nuqud) tidak terdapat dalam Al-Qur’an maupun hadis Nabi Saw. karena bangsa Arab umumnya tidak menggunakan kata nuqud untuk menunjukkan harga.
