Peran Orang Tua Dalam Membangun Karakter Iman Anak Melalui Disiplin Asketisme

Abstract

Dalam menerima pendidikan iman dan bagaimana mempraktekkannya terkait dengan tempat bagi anak-anak adalah keluarga. Keluarga dalam hal ini melingkupi orangtua. Orangtua mengambil peran utama yaitu menampakkan kasih Allah, mendidik anak, dan mengenalkan kasih Allah yang sesungguhnya. Dalam hal ini juga orangtua tidak boleh melepas kendali dalam hal pendidikan iman anak itu sendiri. Keluarga merupakan pendidik utama dan dasar yang penting dalam pembentukan karakter iman anak. Dalam hal ini peran orangtualah yang sangat dominan dalam mendidik anak sejak dini, dengan penuh kasih sayang dan kelembutan, sehingga membangun kebiasaan-kebiasaan positif serta mampu menjadi contoh yang baik bagi anak. Oleh karena itu, disiplin asketisme merupakan salah satu alternatif yang dapat diterapkan orangtua dalam membangun pertumbuhan iman anak.
