Abstract

Jolotigo Tea Plantation is located in Jolotigo Village, Kechi Province. Tarn, Pekalongan, Central Java. The Jolotigo tea estate is located on a plateau at an altitude of 1,250 meters, precisely in the Jolotigo village between Druk Pulbo and Druk Simbal. It is the pinnacle of the Jolotigo Tea Plantation and also home to the Jolotigo Tea Processing Factory, operated by PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) IX, which deals in tea and rubber products. The development of the Jolotigo tea estate was under the control of the Dutch government. As the Netherlands at the time had an environmental protection system in place, Dutch leaders at the time specified exactly how plantations should be cultivated and which crops were suitable for planting. When the Jolotigo Tea Garden was planted with coffee, rubber, and even quinine plants that were considered unsuitable, and were then replaced with tea, which was found to grow well and be suitable for planting, at that point it became a tea garden. The tea garden was the tea garden. Some people in Jolotigo work as farmers, but most of them make a living by marketing tea. The people of Jolotigo themselves feel supported by the presence of tea plantations, and the processing of Jolotigo tea itself can add economic value.
