Abstract

Keberhasilan riset pemasaran tergantung pada kualitas dan relevansi data. Kualitas data sebagian tergantung pada metode dan teknik yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Pemilihan dan penggunaan metode untuk melakukan riset pemasaran membutuhkan banyak pengalam dan keahlian. Kesesuaian dan keselurahan metode yang berbeda memainkan peran penting dalam pemilihannya. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian sangat bervariasi, pendekatan yang tepat mengumpulkan data penelitian kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Peneliti harus memahami keadaan mana yang dapat menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dan sebaliknya. Idealnya, jika ada lebih sedikit kendala anggaran, dapat menggunakan kedua jenis karena memberikan perspektif yang saling melengkapi. Terkadang, keduanya dapat digunakan bersama sama.
