Abstract

Sebelum kita masuk lebih jauh sabaiknya kita mengenal dulu apa sih tenaga kerja itu? Tenaga kerja adalah segala usaha dan ikhtiar yang dilakukan oleh anggota badan atau pikiran untuk mendapatkan imbalan yang pantas. Termasuk semua jenis kerja yang dilakukan fisik maupun pikiran. (Idwal, 2014) tenaga kerja atau buruh juga adalah faktor utama dalam sebuah perusahaan yang menawarkan peroduk ataupun jasa tanpa mereka perekonomian dalam sebuah perusahaan akan terhambat ataupn dapat menyebabkan kebangkrutan, tapi tak sering kita mendengar atau melihat tenaga kerja diperlakukan dengan rendah padahal secara yuridis kedudukan pegusaha dan tenaga kerja itu sama. Pengagungan dan perlindungan tenaga kerja ibarat langit dan tanah, sepanjang sistem hanya sebatas “mendewakan” pengusaha maka sampai kapanpun keberadaan tenaga kerja tetap akan menjadi pihak “terlemahkan”, seperti pepatah “tidaklah berdaya timun berhadapan dengan durian”. (Panjaitan & Hum, n.d.)
