Abstract

Perbankan syariah dalam peristilahan internasional dikenal sebagai Islamic Banking atau juga disebut dengan interest-free banking. Peristilahan dengan menggunakan kata Islamic tidak dapat dilepaskan dari asal mula sistem perbankan syariah itu sendiri. Oleh karena itu, perbankan syariah merupakan segala sesuatu yang menyangkut tentang bank syariah dan unit usaha syariah yang mencakup kelembagaan, kegiatan usaha, serta cara dan proses dalam melaksanakan kegiatan usahanya. Adanya Perbankan syariah diharapkan dapat berperan sebagai fasilitator aktif bagi terbentuknya jaringan usaha ekonomi kerakyatan yang berbasis syariah atau religious. Oleh sebab itu bank syariah harus memiliki standart pelayanan nasabah yang jelas. Pelayanan adalah setiap tindakan yang diberikan petugas bank kepada nasabah yang memerlukan bantuan bank demi kelancaran urusan keuangannya.
