Abstract

Jumlah penduduk dunia mengalami peningkatan pesat sejak tahun 1650 ketika revolusi industri terjadi. Jumlah penduduk yang semakin meningkat menjadikan kekuatiran beberapa ahli. Pertumbuhan penduduk yang semakin meningkat juga menimbulkan dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan. Kebutuhan manusia yang tinggi menjadikan pembangunan tidak memperhatikan kelestarian lingkungan. Pandangan pesimis terhadap sumberdaya manusia diatas menimbulkan perlunya suatu konsep untuk menaggulangi dampak yang terjadi. Penilaian terhadap sumberdaya manusia merupakan salah satu konsep yang mulai dilakukan oleh para ahli dunia. Tulisan ini akan menganalisis beberapa konsep evaluasi sumberdaya manusia yang ada. Konsep tersebut terdiri dari human capital theory, human investment theory, human development theory, sustainable development theory, dan , people centered development theory. Pemahaman mengenai konsep ini penting dilakukan untuk mengetahui arahan pembangunan manusia yang tepat.
