KAJIAN KANDUNGAN FITOKIMIA DARI EKSTRAK HARAMONTING (Rhodomytus tomentosa) SEBAGAI OBAT HERBAL

Abstract

Berdasarkan informasi masyarakat bahwa haramonting sering digunakan sebagai obat tradisional. Penelitian yang dilakukan pada Juli 2017 bertujuan mengetahui kandungan fitokimia dari simplisia daun Haramonting dengan menggunakan metoda ekstraksi. Hasil uji skrining fitokimia menjelaskan bahwa kandungan simplisia daun haramonting berpotensi memiliki senyawa alkaloid, flavonoid, dan tannin/fenolik yang dapat digunakan dalam pengobatan tradisional dan medis modern. Kandungan simplisia Haramonting tertinggi terdapat pada senyawa Tanin dan terendah pada senyawa Terpenoid. Kandungan senyawa pada Haramonting berpotensi sebagai tanaman herbal bagi kesehatan dan mengobati beberapa penyakit diantaranya diabetes, diare, disentri, keputihan, perdarahan, sakit perut, luka dan keracunan
