Oferta desempaquetada y a la carta vs Oferta Empaquetada: balance internacional del mercado de TV Paga y propuestas para el caso peruano

Abstract

"El presente documento tiene como objetivo evaluar la posible implementacion de una “oferta a la carta” en el mercado de TV Paga sobre la base de la experiencia internacional, con la finalidad de reducir la brecha entre tarifas formales e informales. Al no observarse que la implementacion de una “oferta a la carta” haya afectado negativamente el desarrollo del mercado de TV Paga en los países en los cuales se llevo a cabo (Uruguay, Chile, Canada e India); y, considerando que, en promedio, el 92% de los usuarios peruanos que accedieron a la TV Paga en 2015 se encontraron pagando por un 77% de contenido que no consumian; estaria surgiendo una oportunidad para que los operadores de TV Paga puedan reducir precios y aumentar la penetracion del servicio a traves de una oferta comercial desempaquetada y “a la carta”."
