Abstract

Le PEB et le ministère portugais de l’Éducation ont réuni 67 professionnels des bibliothèques et des centres de documentation, des décideurs, des éducateurs et des spécialistes des technologies de l’information, représentant 21 pays, autour du thème « Concevoir les écoles dans une société de communication : bibliothèques et centres de documentation ». Le séminaire, qui a eu lieu au Portugal en juin 1999, avait pour but de déterminer dans quelle mesure l’utilisation des technologies de l’information et de la communication et la transformation des écoles en centres d’apprentissage pour la collectivité influent sur la demande d’espace des institutions de l’éducation ainsi que sur l’usage qui est fait de celui-ci, et plus particulièrement d’examiner les changements ayant pour objectif de promouvoir l’apprentissage à vie et la société de communication. On trouvera ci-dessous des extraits de certaines présentations.
