El entorno como factor explicativo de la estrategia de compras y aprovisionamiento: una aproximaci¢n emp¡rica

Abstract

El entorno ha sido considerado una variable esencial para explicar el comportamiento estrat‚gico de las empresas, pero pocos trabajos han estudiado el papel que desempe¤a en la formulaci¢n de la estrategia en la funci¢n de compras y aprovisionamiento. El objetivo de este trabajo es estudiar la relaci¢n entre la munificencia, la hostilidad, el dinamismo y la complejidad del entorno y la implantaci¢n de pr cticas de desarrollo, evaluaci¢n, implicaci¢n e integraci¢n log¡stica de proveedores. Se desarrollan hip¢tesis a partir de distintos enfoques y teor¡as desarrolladas en el mbito de la direcci¢n estrat‚gica y la direcci¢n de operaciones y se contrastan sobre una muestra de 96 empresas industriales que desarrollan su actividad en el nordeste de Brasil. Los resultados revelan que existe una relaci¢n estad¡sticamente significativa entre las caracter¡sticas del entorno y las pr cticas desarrolladas en la funci¢n de compras, destacando la hostilidad y la complejidad de entorno por su poder explicativo.
