Desarrollo de innovaciones cooperando con clientes: ¨Cu ndo es conveniente?

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es investigar los factores que determinan la cooperaci¢n para el desarrollo de innovaciones entre empresas y un grupo concreto de agentes, los clientes y usuarios. El punto central del an lisis son dos variables reconocidas en estudios previos como factores importantes en el estudio de la cooperaci¢n con estos agentes pero que fundamentalmente han sido tratadas desde una perspectiva puramente te¢rica. Estas variables son: 1) la existencia de informaci¢n sticky (informaci¢n costosa de adquirir, transferir y utilizar) y 2) la presencia de necesidades heterog‚neas en el mercado. En la presente investigaci¢n se profundiza en el estudio de dichas variables y los resultados obtenidos ponen de manifiesto que realmente ejercen una influencia significativa en las relaciones de cooperaci¢n con estos agentes. Adem s, el estudio analiza el impacto de otras variables sobre la cooperaci¢n con clientes como la cooperaci¢n con otros agentes, la experiencia previa en I+D, la capacidad de absorci¢n, el tipo de innovaci¢n desarrollada y la propiedad extranjera en el capital de la empresa.
