Análisis estratégico de ramas de actividad prioritarias. Rama hortícola

Abstract

El Partido de General Pueyrredon tiene una actividad hortícola muy importante, y es reconocido como uno de los grandes centros de producción de especialidades de huerta del país. Se caracteriza por tener una gran diversificación de especies y variedades, y por la calidad de sus productos. Si bien ha habido experiencias de exportaciones, en la actualidad la producción está destinada al mercado interno. La producción ha estado tradicionalmente concentrada en la zona de la Laguna de los Padres, pero el crecimiento del sector está ampliando la franja ocupada. Los suelos son de gran fertilidad, el clima presenta veranos frescos, inviernos no demasiado rigurosos, una cantidad y distribución de precipitaciones adecuadas, y una elevada humedad. Elementos éstos que generan condiciones óptimas para la actividad.
