Post turismo y acceso a la vivienda en destinos turísticos de la Patagonia: la crisis habitacional en El Chaltén, Santa Cruz, Argentina

Abstract

El artículo analiza la crisis habitacional en la localidad de El Chaltén (Santa Cruz, Argentina), en el marco de las transformaciones derivadas del post turismo. Este fenómeno, asociado a las migraciones de amenidad y por estilos de vida, ha impulsado un crecimiento acelerado de la localidad y una presión mayor sobre el suelo urbano. La expansión del turismo y la especulación inmobiliaria han reducido la disponibilidad de viviendas permanentes, afectando a residentes locales y trabajadores estacionales. A través de un enfoque cualitativo basado en fuentes secundarias, documentos y entrevistas, el estudio evidencia cómo la turistificación del territorio puede generar exclusión socioespacial, y discute la sostenibilidad del modelo de desarrollo turístico actual.
