Estacionalidad y accesibilidad en destinos costeros: el caso de Playa del Museo en Mar del Plata, Argentina

Abstract

El artículo analiza la accesibilidad física en la Playa del Museo, ubicada en Mar del Plata, ciudad costera en la provincia de Buenos Aires y uno de los destinos turísticos más importantes de Argentina. Se centra en las diferencias entre temporada alta y baja. A través de una metodología cualitativa y exploratorio-descriptiva, se realizaron relevamientos de campo, entrevistas y análisis normativo. Los resultados evidencian una marcada "accesibilidad estacional": durante el verano se instalan rampas, señalización y servicios accesibles, los cuales son retirados el resto del año, limitando el acceso para personas con discapacidad. Se propone el concepto de accesibilidad estacional para describir esta situación, cuestionando su uso como estrategia temporal. Se concluye que la accesibilidad debe ser una condición estructural y constante en los destinos turísticos, basada en el diseño universal y el respeto por la dignidad humana.
