La incorporación de mujeres indígenas a proyectos locales de turismo rural en Latinoamérica

Abstract

El artículo aborda la integración de mujeres indígenas a proyectos de turismo rural en Latinoamérica e identifica sus limitantes y alcances en este proceso. Se realizó una revisión de diversos documentos, especialmente de artículos científicos publicados entre 2010 y 2025, a partir de las siguientes temáticas: proyectos ejecutados, problemáticas, logros, oportunidades y desafíos. Los resultados indican que el turismo rural ha representado una vía de empoderamiento y autonomía económica para un sector de mujeres indígenas, pero siguen enfrentando barreras estructurales. A pesar de estos retos, se concluye que el turismo rural sigue siendo una estrategia relevante para su inclusión social y económica, siempre que se garantice su participación en la toma de decisiones y se promuevan políticas públicas orientadas a su fortalecimiento.
