Una experiencia matemática extracurricular

Abstract

El objetivo de esta propuesta es compartir una actividad extracurricular académica, directa, promovida desde la asignatura Matemática para Economistas II, la que se cursa durante el tercer año de la Carrera Licenciatura en Economía, en la Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Sociales-Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata. Dicha experiencia, que se viene realizando desde hace diez años, consiste en la participación voluntaria de los estudiantes en trabajos de investigación sobre diversas problemáticas socioeconómicas, con la aplicación de temas que conforman el programa de la asignatura, estando coordinados por los docentes. Los trabajos son presentados en reuniones científicas matemáticas, siendo expuestos por los estudiantes, en calidad de coautores, previa evaluación por parte de un comité científico y posterior publicación en el libro de trabajos -ponencias- correspondiente. La experiencia es muy valorada por los participantes, especialmente por los estudiantes, quienes la transitan con un alto grado de involucramiento -conductal, emocional y cognitivo-.
