Actividades en simultáneo al cuidado de los niños: un análisis de las diferencias de género

Abstract

El multitasking, definido como la realización de más de una tarea en simultáneo, ha sido identificado en los últimos años como el resultado de la forma en que se distribuye el tiempo dentro de los hogares entre distintas tareas (trabajo remunerado, tareas domésticas, de cuidado, ocio, entre otras) especialmente en aquellos que cuentan con la presencia de niños. La evidencia internacional sugiere que las madres realizan más multitasking en el trabajo no remunerado que los padres, combinando tareas de cuidado de los niños con otras actividades de forma más frecuente, lo que contribuye al aumento de la brecha de género en el tiempo destinado al trabajo total (Craig, 2006, 2007, Sayer, 2007, Offer y Schneider, 2011). Por ello, se postula como objetivo general analizar las diferencias de género en las tareas de cuidado de los niños realizadas por los adultos en simultáneo con otras actividades en Argentina.
