Producción orgánica en la Argentina. Políticas sectoriales y eficiencia

Abstract

El mercado de productos orgánicos está creciendo a tasas no igualadas por ningún otro segmento de alimentos convencionales. Argentina es el segundo país del mundo en superficie dedicada a la producción orgánica y uno de los principales exportadores. Dado que esta actividad es a menudo promocionada para alcanzar diversos objetivos de política económica, es relevante conocer de qué manera las políticas públicas pueden contribuir a su desarrollo. En este artículo se analizan dichas políticas, desde una doble perspectiva: la de la "oferta" -los agentes responsables y las acciones emprendidas- y la de la "demanda" -requerimientos y opinión de los productores y organizaciones del sector.
