Educación financiera y los adultos mayores: cambio y oportunidades

Abstract

Podemos decir que en la sociedad está instalado un concepto: el de la Inclusión Financiera. ¿Qué significa? El acceso y disponibilidad de los servicios financieros. En este sentido debemos distinguir lo que podemos llamar lo formal y lo real. La diferencia no es sutil. En la Argentina los servicios financieros que permiten la bancarización básica son gratuitos y están disponibles para los usuarios: una caja de ahorro y su tarjeta de débito asociada. Esto permitiría emplear el dinero disponible de manera electrónica, desechando el efectivo como medio de pago dominante. Pero la realidad se muestra muy diferente. Los argentinos pagamos en efectivo cerca del 80% de nuestras compras cotidianas. Razones culturales, premios por el pago cash, falta de estímulos reales y palpables por el uso de medios de pago diferente, explican en gran medida este comportamiento.
