Atributos relevantes en el perfil del turista del interior en la ciudad de Mar del Plata

Abstract

El propósito del presente trabajo consiste en presentar los grupos de turistas del interior con características distintivas para su identificación durante la temporada de verano 2004-2005 en la ciudad de Mar del Plata a través de la utilización de técnicas de aprendizaje no supervisado. Los perfiles turísticos responden a un colectivo de variables que señalan los aspectos más relevantes en el trazado de los rasgos distintivos de aquellas personas que eligen nuestra ciudad como destino de sus vacaciones, utilizando para este análisis a los turistas que residen en las provincias del interior de nuestro país. El trabajo que se presenta surge de la aplicación de una técnica de minería de datos a un trabajo empírico realizado en las playas de la ciudad con un muestreo estratificado dirigido a las personas que se encontraban de vacaciones seleccionadas a posteriori por su lugar de procedencia.
