Abstract

Se analiza el estado de situación de la actividad pesquera artesanal en el Partido de General Alvarado. La metodología cualitativa utilizada tuvo como instrumento las entrevistas a informantes clave. Se verificó el declive de la actividad en los últimos siete años debido a la pérdida de rentabilidad. Algunos de los factores que motivaron este declive fueron: a) el recurso más alejado de la costa que incrementó el costo de combustible; b) el aumento del costo de los insumos; c) la falta de infraestructura; d) los conflictos con la Prefectura Naval Argentina y e) la disolución de la única asociación de pescadores existente en el Partido.
