Comentario al trabajo: "Determinantes del avance en los niveles de educación en Argentina. Análisis empírico basado en un modelo probabilístico secuencial" de Evelina Bertranou

Abstract

El trabajo investiga qué factores se relacionan con las decisiones de completar o no un nivel educativo y de iniciar el próximo nivel dependiendo de haber finalizado el anterior. Se basa en la información proveniente de la Encuesta de Desarrollo Social (INDEC, 1997) y utiliza un modelo logit de tipo secuencial que le permite estimar las probabilidades de que jóvenes solteros, acotando los rangos de edades dentro de los cuales habrán de decidir, completen el ciclo primario, inicien el secundario -habiendo finalizado el anterior-, completen el secundario -habiendo iniciado ese ciclo- e inicien uno de tercer nivel -habiendo finalizado el secundario.
