Heterogeneidad de las preferencias de los consumidores de alimentos de calidad diferenciada

Abstract

El Choice Modelling es un experimento de elección, de preferencias declaradas, que permite la evaluación conjunta de los atributos del bien en cuestión. Frente a bloques conformados por alternativas de dicho bien -combinaciones de los niveles de los atributos- más una alternativa de exclusión, los participantes deben elegir una alternativa por bloque. Conceptualmente se basa en las investigaciones sobre respuestas ante diferentes niveles de estímulo psicológico (Thurstone, 1927), en las referidas a la utilidad del consumidor en función de los atributos de un bien (Lancaster, 1966) y en el Modelo de Utilidad Aleatoria (MUT) (Marschak, 1960). A fin de precisar la medición de la valoración de los atributos que realizan los participantes, se propone un estudio sobre la heterogeneidad de sus preferencias mediante la comparación de modelos econométricos.
