Dos concepciones a priori de la Economía

Abstract

En este trabajo nos proponemos evaluar el apriorismo de von Wright y von Mises en economía. Ambos son muy diferentes. El primero intenta construir, principalmente en Lógica de las Preferencias, una lógica no estándar en el corazón de la microeconomía con la teoría de las preferencias; el segundo, especialmente en La Acción Humana, extiende un apriorismo, no analítico sino a la manera del sintético a priori kantiano, a toda la economía y aún a las ciencias de la acción humana. Evaluaremos y examinaremos las implicaciones para la teoría económica de ambos apriorismos, y criticaremos algunos de los argumentos decisivos en los que se basan. Focalizaremos especialmente la principal dificultad en la que se encuentra actualmente la economía neoclásica, sus crecientes dificultades empíricas y predictivas. Más allá de las objeciones específicas a la manera como construyeron ambos autores sus apriorismos, intentaremos evaluar las perspectivas de estos proyectos para mejorar o salvar a la economía neoclásica de las dificultades recién señaladas.
