Equivalencias entre gastos de subsistencia para hogares tipo de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires

Abstract

El objetivo del presente trabajo consiste en estimar escalas de equivalencia asociadas a un nivel de subsistencia para los tipos de hogares más representativos de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires. Para ello, se estima un sistema completo de demanda cuadrático Adicionalmente, se comparan las escalas obtenidas de modo empírico, a partir del comportamiento observado de los hogares, con aquellas institucionalmente empleadas en Argentina. Se reflexiona, asimismo, acerca de la existencia de economías de escala en el consumo y de la variación de las escalas en función de los distintos tipos de gasto en bienes y servicios.
