Cohesión social: un giro desde el desarrollo social

Abstract

Generalmente los diagnósticos desde la dimensión social son parciales, estudian los problemas sociales y sus soluciones: la distribución del ingreso, la pobreza, y/o las políticas para superarla desde una visión externa a la situación u "objetiva". En tal sentido, uno puede pensar que este tipo de análisis resulta incompleto, si el interés es conocer integralmente el grado de desarrollo social de un grupo humano, dado que el análisis anterior se refiere sólo a "datos duros" que deben ser complementados con las percepciones o subjetividades que los ciudadanos tienen respecto del desarrollo social, o lo que es lo mismo, deben complementarse con la mirada de cuán incluida se siente la gente, desde ellos mismos, y no desde interpretaciones externas. Dicho de otra forma, es necesario incorporar las percepciones y disposiciones de la ciudadanía frente al modo en que actúan los mecanismos de inclusión y exclusión (sentido de pertenencia), logrando así un análisis social más complejo al tiempo que más cercano a la realidad que se pretende explicar.
