Abstract

La gestión de materiales y el control de los stocks que la empresa acumula en previsión de una demanda futura, constituyen hoy en día un motivo de inquietud en el mundo empresarial por cuanto representan una de las partidas más importantes de la inversión. El problema central de la gestión de materiales es la instrumentación de políticas de stocks adecuadas a cada situación, lo que supone un análisis de las necesidades, la clasificación de los stocks, el estudio de sus costos y la elaboración de modelos que seleccionen las variables idóneas para un adecuado sistema de control.
