Sistemas de demanda y escalas demográficas

El objetivo de este trabajo, en particular, es estimar un sistema de demanda para todos los bienes que consumen las familias, incluyendo relaciones no lineales de las cantidades respecto de precios e ingresos e incorporando variables demográficas. Estas últimas modeladas en la forma de términos adicionales que trasladan las funciones originales en magnitudes diferentes de acuerdo a los tipos de hogares definidos. De esta forma, para cada bien y para cada tipo de hogar se construyen escalas, que modifican las cantidades demandadas, respecto del hogar definido como referencia (un solo miembro adulto) y, por ende, el nivel de gastos requerido por hogares de mayor tamaño.
