Cómo agregar valor en industrias maduras. Un análisis de la industria de la confección de la ciudad de Mar del Plata

Abstract

El objetivo principal de las investigaciones del Grupo de Análisis Industrial en los últimos años ha sido comprender cómo se agrega valor en la industria de la confección marplatense, es decir, cómo la generación e incorporación de conocimientos permite a las empresas confeccionistas obtener rentas diferenciales. Para dar cumplimiento al mismo, se abordaron tres objetivos específicos, que dieron lugar a investigaciones diferentes y que en conjunto permiten avanzar en el conocimiento del tema desde diferentes perspectivas. Ellos son: (1) detectar los determinantes de las diferencias en el posicionamiento competitivo de las firmas del sector; (2) analizar la valoración que realizan los consumidores de los atributos diferenciales de los productos de este sector y su disposición a pagar por ellos; y (3) estudiar la incorporación de servicios intensivos en conocimiento por parte de las firmas del sector. El abordaje metodológico difiere de acuerdo a la investigación, utilizándose diseños cuantitativos y cualitativos y distintas técnicas de análisis.
