Abstract

La importancia de las inversiones en capacidad de producción plantea a las empresas el reto de cómo utilizar la capacidad máxima disponible de sus instalaciones. Adecuar aquella capacidad de producción al comportamiento de la demanda exige prever la evolución de ésta tanto a corto como a largo plazo, distinguiendo entre el sector industrial y el de servicios, así como valorar el riesgo que puede ocasionar a las empresas el exceso de capacidad.
