Abstract

La normalización entendida como acción encaminada a poner orden en el caos, es un recurso que merece nuestra atención en razón de los beneficios que puede reportar para cualquier tipo de organización. Si comúnmente se piensa en ella como pared de contención que limita la diversidad antieconómica en piezas, accesorios y suministros estándar, no es menos cierto que aplicar esta innegable ventaja a procesos de mayor escala -de manera económicamente rentable-, puede significar la diferencia entre supervivencia o extinción en las difíciles condiciones de los mercados actuales.
