La inserción laboral de un grupo de inmigrantes italianos en la Mar del Plata de los '50. Un análisis basado en fuentes orales

Abstract

El presente artículo analiza la inserción laboral de tres grupos de inmigrantes italianos asentados en Mar del Plata en la década de 1950. Se trata de los oriundos de Acireale (Sicilia), de Duronia (Molise) y de Vedelago (Veneto) que llegaron a nuestra ciudad en los años posteriores a la finalización de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Específicamente, la investigación se centra en el peso que tuvieron las redes de relación tejidas entre los propios inmigrantes y su incidencia en la obtención del primer empleo por parte de los recién llegados. Asimismo, es importante destacar el uso de las entrevistas orales realizadas a algunos de los protagonistas de este proceso, una metodología que permitió escuchar las voces teñidas de recuerdos de muchas personas que, de no utilizarse la técnica de la historia oral, quedarían en el olvido.
