Abstract

This paper is divided in three parts. In the first one a four-equation structural form model is offered. It has earnings, weeks worked, education and bilingualism as dependent variables and will be used to explain the earnings of Quebec males in 1978. In the second part the data used, 3,576 men taken from a survey done for the Conseil de la langue française, are discussed. In the third part the results obtained through the use of O.L.S. and probit techniques are presented. They agree with our expectations.
