How Disability Beneficiaries Fared Before and After the Great Recession

Abstract

The Great Recession (December 2007 to June 2009) had far-reaching impacts on the U.S. economy, but it likely had a different effect on beneficiaries of the Social Security Administration (SSA) disability programs than on other working-age individuals.
